池記 (Chee Kee)

After we've checked in at our hotel in Causeway Bay, the first order of business was to look for a place to have breakfast. We decided to try out Chee Kee since my sister S mentioned that it has one of the best wonton noodles in town. And she was right! The wonton was indeed delicious - A perfect way to start our Hong Kong vacation. :)

Nomnomnom

A simple and affordable dinner out with my brother and sister-in-law. Yep! I'm the chaperon! :)

Strawberry-Flavored Iced Tea - Refreshing! :)

You can actually see the tea bag in the pitcher.

Fried Ravioli - Crunchy skin with cheesy kangkong and mushroom stuffing. :)

Olio E Aglio - Chili garlic pasta

Enchilada - Mexican version of lasagna, made with flour tortilla and filled with kangkong, cream and cheese topped with enchilada sauce. This tasted just like the fried ravioli since it has almost the same stuffing. Both are delicious! :)

Malinomnom Pizza Log - Tinapa, kesong puti, red egg and shallots. It is said to be their bestseller. We didn't like it that much because it had this "malansa" taste to it. But the crust was yummy. :)

O'sonho

Ever since O'sonho opened, never has it crossed my mind to try it out. Probably because every time I pass by it, there are only one or two customers dining in this place. And I strongly believe that a jam-packed restaurant is an indication of a good restaurant.

But then in one of our several family gatherings, my relative N told me that this establishment serves really good Peri Peri chicken. Since I trust my cousin's taste, I found myself inviting my officemate K to have lunch with me there. So here goes..

Fresh Iced Tea - K and I agree that this has a weird after-taste. I can't quite describe it. It's just.. WEIRD!

Peri Peri Chicken on Fragrant Chicken Rice - This (as my cousin told me) is really, really good! The chicken was juicy with a bit of spice and the rice has a light taste to it. This made me happy despite the weird-tasting iced tea. :)

Peri Peri Chicken Pasta - K's order, who opted for pasta instead of rice. She enjoyed this order as well. :)

Good food = Happy us! We've just added this to our list of Friday lunch-out places. :)
