Korea Garden

Groupons are a big hit these days and I've already bought a number of them. So when I saw a good deal on Korean food, I simply must get! :)

Korea Garden is located in Jupiter Street. You may not notice it due to their very simple white signage but I was surprised at the number of cars parked outside this establishment. There are a few Korean locals dining there as well.

Appetizers - My sisters and I did not leave a single plate unturned. :)

Chap Chae - This glassy noodle dish is a staple food when having a Korean dinner. :)

Mandu (Dumplings) - This was just so-so. Tasted like regular dumplings.

Kalbi Chim (Korean Beef Stew) - This was so tasty! The sweetness of the sauce and the tenderness of the beef, together with rice (bap in Korean) is just pure deliciousness. :)

Nakchi Bokum (Spicy Octopus) - I was a bit hesitant to eat this. Brought back memories of when I last visited Korea (I was probably 10 at the time) where some of our family friends ate live octopus. Making sure that these are indeed cooked, I took a bite.. And the verdict? I loved it! It's just like eating cuttlefish. The spiciness was just right (which means they greatly lowered the intensity by Korean standards). :)

Bulgogi - Served on a sizzling plate. Quite good but I found myself abandoning this for Kalbi Chim. :)
I just had to take a picture of this! What is a hormone yaki, I wonder..? :P

What's for dessert? Korean ice cream, of course! Melona and (since I don't know the correct name, I shall call you) Fishy ice cream. The latter being my personal fave. :)

Always remember these five words - Kam Sa Ham Ni Da, which means "Thank you". I'm sure it will come in handy when you visit your next Korean restaurant. :)
